To the HQ in America which likely does not pay taxes because of all the loopholes available.
2 :
It stays within the company. It also goes into investors pockets. These American companies are registered in the stock market and anyone can purchase their stocks and "own" a portion of McDonalds, Wendy's, Enron etc. If they make money, their stock will rise up and the investors will collect dividends.
3 :
the corporate people who work for mcDonalds and others keep all the profits for themselves. they are known as the Haves.
4 :
After all the expenses and taxes, into the shareholder's pockets.
5 :
into the executives pockets..
6 :
it goes to the wealty investors
7 :
CORRUPT POLITICIANS!
8 :
You are on to something!!!! Like if Obama taxes the Big Business out of the States then how is he going to pay for all the spending he proposes without taxing the Middle Class and Poor?
9 :
They are accounted as revenues to the parent company. If the business is situated in a low tax zone overseas or a tax-haven, then the company's profit increases. If this money is not repatriated back to the US (i.e, not brought back to the US) or given as dividends to the shareholders, then taxes on these can be deferred, which means no money comes as taxes to the US. We need a trade expert to talk more about this but here's the source below for more information.

Where will money made from the Chinese Olympics go, and who will benefit?
Where will money made from the Chinese Olympics go, and who will benefit?
I'm assuming China expects to make a lot of money from the Games, which is of course why countries want to hold them. But where does the money come from, and where will it go? Are China's businesses all state-owned? Will money go to athletics groups in thecountry, and on training for young aspiring athletes? All will all the money raised go towards propping up the Chinese state?

Since we have such a large debt with china, wouldn't their devaluing of currency actually make it easier?

Since we have such a large debt with china, wouldn't their devaluing of currency actually make it easier for us to pay them back? I'm confused as to the exchange rate logic behind all of this. When US borrows Chinese money, it essentially sells china US bonds. Thus it receives Yen. Which must be converted into dollars? Correct? If you could get more dollars for your yen, then this makes bond selling prospects better no?

They are devaluing their currency all the time by pegging it to the dollar. To maintain the peg the Chinese central bank buys dollars from Chinese exporters with newly printed Yuan. Then they use these dollars to buy - among others - US bonds. If the U.S. wanted to pay back their debt it would have to cut 1,6 trillion in government spending. Yuan devaluation makes it easier for the U.S. to go into more debt, and not to pay the debt back.

How a 16 year old can make a lot of money through the internet?
How a 16 year old can make a lot of money through the internet?
So this kid who goes to my school was standing near me and he pulls out this huge wad of cash. I don't know him, and frankly I'm a little scared of him because he is one of the bad kids in my school. But I overheard him saying he got it from some guy in China that he didn't know. Through money order or something like that (I think.) I'm guessing he did this using the internet, but I dont know what he could have done. Does anyone have any ideas?! What is fraud? O_o
