Do you think China is making money by borrowing from Chase Bank at low rates and loaning it to America at?
a higher rate? I heard this on a local radio news today.

Sounds like that would make money to me. Are you asking if they're doing it, or if the practice would be profitable?

Huh? I wouldn't be surprised, though. That's basically what the Federal Reserve has been doing.

As long as its legal, its a smart thing to do. Why would Chase do such a dumb thing? They can loan to US at a higher rate themselves.

That is a simpleton's explanation of a highly regulated arbitrage play. It isn't happening at all the way you just described. It would be illegal. There are arbitrage plays that are legal however and provide much better returns than a scheme like that would.

For fifty years China has been making money off of the American Business People. Then once the American Business People get old and retire, they bring their wrinkled azz'z back to American soil to be buried. Yes, China is making money.
