I read that the average worker in China only makes the equivalent of three thousand seven hundred dollars a year. $3,700 a year.

Yes, America has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Your point? China isnt even the worst. They are lucky they are even being payed. Many industrial nations use slave labor and children in their factories. How do you think America gets such cheap products? In fact, there is a 98% chance the very clothes you are wearing right now were made by slaves. There are more slaves today than there have ever been in the entire history of the human race. That is a little-known fact.

My family {My father, Mother, and two Sisters} makes about 20,000 dollars a year in the U.S., and we do not have a lot of money. Our cost of living is much higher here. A person may be able to get by on 3,700 a year in China, if you're telling the truth, as you have no source to back up this statement. Also, guess who's exploiting those factory workers. American Corporations. You know, the same ones that shipped the jobs away and made us as poor as we are now, because the workers had enough "nerve" to ask for decent pay so they wouldn't be exploited like the Chinese, who themselves are asking for better pay now. Maybe that's why you see "made in Indonesia" so frequently now a days.
