How do they determine the wealth of money?
How do they determine that a U.S. Dollar is worth more than money in some other country like China? What is it that makes some money worth more than others. The US dollar is just a special kind of paper. Is it the long process in making the dollar or materials used on it that makes it worth more? If another country did the same would its money become worth the same as the U.S.? -interesting question

It's determined by auction in the currency markets every day. Just like you determine what a share of IBM stock is worth and what a share of Microsoft stocks is worth.
2 :
The value of money in fiat currencies, which most modern nations use, is in the soundness of all the systems in that country that affect the ability of the country to enforce it's requirement that transactions in that country be done using that currency. So a person outside the country must continuously assess the likelihood that the money they hold will be honored by the country that issued it. As a country grows richer, and more stable and it's systems of enforcement of markets and law and fiscal policy and monetary policy improve, the value of its currency improves.

Take as much as you can,the price here is going up considerably. If you are the first time to China, you'd better have a guide.
2 :
US 1 = 7 RMB (chinese money) The places in china is much cheaper than hear in the US. If you want all your flights, and hotel set, go to EXPEDIA, there are deals there. OR you can search hotels on your own, it's simple go on google and search for hotels in shanghai or where ever you are staying. Simple.

Well extremely low budget in China can be really low budget. Anyway, for plane tickets see www.elong.com and for train tickets see this site for train schedules and prices http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/index.htm I am going to put all prices in RMB (chinese yuan), so you will have to convert them to your currency yourself. Plane tickets are about 600 RMB, though prices vary considerably. If you get a good deal it might be 300-400 RMB. Cheap meals in Beijng and Shanghai are about 10-20 RMB, a meal at KFC is 20-25 RMB, though you could eat much cheaper if you want. Instant noodles are 2-3 RMB. Western food is usually 50-100 RMB per person. Park and tourist attraction prices vary. A place that is a day's attraction is about 100-150 RMB, while other places are cheaper they will only keep you amused for half a day or a few hours. Hotel prices vary, look at www.elong.com again to see the prices. But an ok hotel in Shanhai is going to 200-300 RMB. If you are going to other places, then it may be a lot cheaper 100-200 RMB for the same quality hotel. In the end it really depends on what you are doing, where you are staying and how much you eat. I have travelled to shanghai and beijing on 500 RMB a day for 2 people in one hotel room. You might want to save money, but you really want to experience as much as possible. Maybe budget 200 a day, and some days you will spend more and others less. Then work out plane tickets and hotel prices seperately.

Me neither. I guess the US likes to be a bigshot and spend or give away money they don't have. Maybe we just like to share the wealth. Bad Bad Obammmma.
2 :
USA Foreign Aid is usually send in form of weapons, overproduced food (close to spoiling), or loans with horrendous interest. So, not to worry, your USA tax Dollar doesn't go to poor countries, it goes instead to the Pentagon, which causes uprisings and war in that countries, so that they appreciate our weapons. Fact: USA - largest legal and illegal weapons dealer in the world
3 :
They sell bonds to China. They don't send cash.

You can't really avoid it. Mainland Chinese business persons are spiritually and politically commanded to taking every financial advantage they can, regardless of whether it is honest or dishonest.
2 :
set a fixed price before the trip.
3 :
Taxi scams are common around the world. There was a famous case a few years ago of a New York City taxi driver who charged a Koren tourist $300 to drive from JFK airport to Brooklyn (should have cost $30). The only sure fire way to avoid taxi drivers is to not take taxis. The best way to avoid being over-charged is to know approximately what the correct charge is in advance and tell it to the driver.
4 :
When you visit a place in China, tell your tour guide where you want to go in advance and ask for advice. Or ask your hotel reception and let them tell you the approximate distance, or the use of cost. You can write them down together with some nessary phone number o a note. And write down the car's license plate number, then give it to driver. Then the driver will know the what to do. Of course, the vast majority of Chinese drivers are good, but you should take care for some bad ones. Oh, Beijing is an perfect place to travel as the capital of China. Here, you can experience the long history of China. Now, it will help you know what you can do in Beijing and how to save money. Have a good trip! http://www.onlinechinatours.com/save-money-on-china-trip.html

Abe Cool right. Even some Japanese taxi driver cheat. But all know how to tilt head just right when smoking cigarette.
6 :
u can't, cabbies always do that ALL OVER THE WORLD tho. not just china.

Only get in metered taxis in china - there are many unmetered ones, especially around airports. Check that the meter is starting from zero - they occasionally' forget'. If a metered drived starts to quote a price rather that the meter, just walk away. Most airports have ranks with security guards these days go there - they will also post the approx charges major destinations within the city Lonely planet and other guides also do price estimates The flag fall is always less than 16 RMB - thats the most expensive iv e seen and iv e beed all over, i ve seen it as low as two RMB. Shanghai is 11 or 12 now i guess, guangzhou 7, shenzhen 12 (16 at night) nanjing 11 but dunno BJ Go to google maps and chart long journeys - it will also give approx distances Having said all this, i have lived in China for 5 years, and have been subjected to scam attempts maybe 10 times, only one that i recall was successful - and i have already told you how to avoid it!!
