In China for my girlfriend, did I make a mistake?
I love my girlfriend very much, I left my stable job and left college to come be with her while she prepares to come back to the States with me. This is for one year. I've been to China several times and even lived there for a short while so its not like it's the culture shock getting to me. She has been very moody, and sometimes just mean to me. I'm not the kind of guy to whine and complain about something, but I've mentioned to her that I don't appreciate the way she has been treating me and she will say sorry and be sweet but the next day she may get pissed about something else. It's not her ''time of the month'' or anything like that. I don't know what else I should do. I feel like I gave a lot to come here. I decided to not leave for the military, I left college, I left my job (in this bad economy). Now I'm working in China and making less money, around a language I don't know very well, away from everything I know. I don't mind doing these things for her, I just wish she wasn't being so moody with me these last couple of weeks. Any suggestions?

You made a mistake, we all do. They have mood swings and can be a control freak. Go back to States, learn Mandarin can be a plus tho

lol...someone finally noticed what I noticed in elementary school. I was born in China. And was raised to think girls would be shy, quiet, etc. you name it. Then in the elementary school, I noticed that most girls are MORE bossy than boys. That's the way it is today. Since everyone would be on the side of the girl as soon as she start crying...whether she is right or wrong. As boys, we were taught not to argue with girls, not to hit girls, and do things for girls...like fools lol. I am glad you learned about modern China. Many other foreigners still say that Asian women are submissive..yeah right! Suggestions? You might want sit down and talk with her, and settle this once for all. If she still won't change, I suggest you move on. There are always sweeter girls who will treat their men with respect.
