Which foreign country can ESL teachers make the most money?
Which country pays the most if you plan to teach ESL overseas? (in terms of cost of living and being able to save your money that you earn) Asia: Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China Or is it a European country that pays the most money?

It usually depends on the program, not the country. That said, the price of living is highest in Japan, and that's how they come up with your salary. I had a friend who made loads there in just a couple years.
2 :
My experience is that you are provided a place to live and a low salary. This was in China.
3 :
europe...cuz the euro has more monetary value than the american currency.. try spain...
4 :
New Zealand or Australia [ both have a pretty good standard of living ], and there is a strong demand for E.S.L. teachers due to a large influx of Asian immigrants over the last 10-12 years, particularly New Zealand.
5 :
Out of the four Asian countries, Korea is by far the one you can make the most and save the most. The cost of living in Japan and Taiwan has gotten too high and the salary in China is too low.

can america just take back all their business that they have shipped over to china?
can america just take back all their business that they have shipped over to china?
I'm not Einstein but wouldn't that be the only solution to the crisis? If we are not making any product then how can we make money? I think that the only solution would be to get our stuff out of china and start to make the stuff here. What do you think? I haven't heard that idea before but wouldn't it work?

There are many complications. But one to highlight is that China owns a lot of US stock and debt instruments. If we take back all our business, they retaliate and cash in on our debt to them with interest. That's the start of an economic war, with implications in other areas of diplomacy.
2 :
Yes, all the businesses could be shipped back. No one knows what else to do..
3 :
America have many big companies. They need to cut down the cost of their stuff. Then sell it in low price. If they shipped back their production. They have to pay the high cost of labor. Then, Eruopean and Japan's companies would use this to compete against those such as IBM, MS, GE..... Then, American companies would become weaker and weaker. They will lost their control of world' market.
4 :
In theory it can be done. But there are too fundamental difficulties. First, it's very difficult to recover capital investments if a business has already had manufacturing facilities setup in China. 2. There are still significant differences in labor costs between China and America. It is very difficult for some businesses to digest such difference.

This is kind of odd, but I've heard someone do it. This girl went around her neighborhood and gave every house a recycling bag to put paper, plastic water bottles, soda cans, etc. And about every week, she would collect all those bags and take them to a recycling center, which pays you for recyclable products. Not only does it make good money, it's environmentally friendly. (Oh yeah by the way, that girl made hundreds of dollars) Good luck :)

Why will China become the next superpower?
Why will China become the next superpower?
What is China doing that is different than what others are doing? Japan and Germany are both more wealthier than China, why aren't they superpowers? On the other hand, what can stop china from becoming a superpower? How likely is it to happen? When? Also, although China is making more money, are the people's lives nice? Do most of them have more than basic necessities? Or are many living in poverty because there's just not enough wealth to go around?

China's GDP is growing at 8-10% a year, and their military is growing at the same rate. Poverty is all across rural China, but the cities have been growing at tremendous rates. Depsite being Communist, they have adopted some capitalistic polices. As for trade, the USA has a 200 billion dollar trade deficit with China. It is weakening our economy, and is strengthening theirs.
9 :
itle: The Next Superpower: Strategic Implication of China's Economic Development Author: Carl S. Murphy, Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy Thesis: The central argument of this paper is that U.S. policy can play a pivotal role in China's stability and in the leadership's inclination remain cooperatively engaged in world affairs, or withdraw behind a bulwark of absolute sovereignty and frustrated nationalism. This is so, because China's dependence on the global economy provides the United States, as the sole remaining superpower, with considerable economic leverage to supplement its diplomatic and military influence in shaping policy to accommodate or frustrate China's emergence as a 21st century global power. A pragmatic U.S. engagement policy which recognizes that the passage of time promises a favorable evolution if China remains interdependent within the global economy. Discussion: The revival of China's economy and its continued growth makes the emergence of the PRC as a superpower in the 21st century a credible prediction. However, the need to sustain economic growth has become central to the stability of China and forced pragmatic choices on the Chinese leadership. There is an intrinsic contradiction between China's dependence on foreign market access, investment and technology to grow its economy, and the Chinese inclination toward state centered power-politics linked to insistence that China has been denied the respect due a rising power. Sustained growth of the Chinese economy at the present rate is conditioned by a stable international environment for trade, continued inflows of foreign investment, access to foreign markets and the availability of foreign technology--all of which are heavily influenced by policy decisions made in Washington. While China's economic development portends tremendous growth and future power, there is also a fragility in the economy and the fabric of China. The erosion in credibility of world communism has deprived China's leadership of an ideological basis for its continued rule. In response, the leadership has embarked on a dual strategy to legitimize continued communist control: 1) Performance-based legitimacy through sustainment of economic growth and 2) Appeals to nationalism and the Chinese perception of their historical importance, to provide a unifying vision for the populous and inoculate against opposing ideologies. While military improvement has been modest, China's economic strength is growing rapidly. Beijing's nationalistic appeals to the restoration of a perceived historical greatness, combined with popular resentment over imperialist humiliation in the last century, point toward China's development as an increasingly powerful nation--even a future superpower. U.S. force reductions independent of, or in conjunction with, withdrawal from the Asian-Pacific region has the potential to make China a military peer early in the next century. Economic modernization supports increased world influence and military power, but forces China' to sublimate military assertiveness to maintain a stable environment for commerce. While efforts to sustain growth have forced subordination of China's zero-sum approach to sovereignty in favor of pragmatic diplomacy, there is an intrinsic dissonance in China's behavior. Nationalistic maneuvering, as evidenced by irredentist territorial claims and anti-imperialist rhetoric, can be seen to arise from a renewed sense of Chinese pride and importance as a result of increasing economic clout. Exercise of China's growing power, however, is in conflict with the international behavior required to assure foreign investors of China's domestic stability and aversion to foreign adventures.

I lived in China for about nine years. So, based on that, I think people's lives are pretty good. It's not like we were treated badly or anything. I didn't even know what government we had until I came to America (of course, then I was pretty young). And we had all we needed.
11 :
Yes. To understand China you have to examine the core social differeneces between a capitalist and a communist structure... not economically but socially. The difference is and why China will surpass the USA in superpower status is that our capitalist society is taught from birth that wealth and success evolve around 'self'. A communist society teaches their citizens from birth that success evolves around 'community'. So what you end with is a society of self-centered aholes versus a society of citizens willing to give their lives for their country. Btw, this is why you see many Chinese leaders looked upon as a 'father' and loved as such.... this stems out of the sense of family or community I was referring to. In addition, the community takes care of its citizens. Capitalist are always trying to make the argument that capitalism is more productive and successful. It isn't as China is about to show us. In the end, all capitalism does it produce an elite group of very extremely greedy ppl that control most of the wealth and a society of resentful ppl of that wealth. China is illustrating to the world that communism works.

With this economy, I don't think anyone can...lol. You can't get an actual job, but why not offer to help people? Ask your parents for extra cash if you help out with other things than you already do. Walk someones dog, offer to wash people's cars, mow their lawns or if it comes down to it be creative and make some things and sell them.

how can a ton of money be made off of these protests in egypt and china? anyone want to brainstorm?
There must be some kind of website that we can make that will generate tons of money. Especially with the amount of people in China who are about to start the same thing that egypt did.... what are some ways that a few of us could make millions off a website about the riots? start brainstorming with me people!

Yeah, knock yourself out. There's always money nearby when blood flows in the street. Think of the Germans that lost everything in WWII, but emerged in the new Germany wealthy, having profited from the misery left behind them. Dirty dollars. You couldn't wash your hands enough. (So, naturally, that's what banks are for)

A dozen people in China compared to its 1.5 billion people, there's been bigger protests against scandals in the past. What, is this news to you? I haven't even heard of this nonsense before idiots began popping up with conspiracy theories around here, and that's saying something, because netizens and newspapers pick up scandals in China all the time, and I've seen plenty of news articles that caused more attention than this thing, which makes me wonder, did it even happen? Not the first time the media faked up events, happens too often, nobody can rely on news services any more. You'll be sure to say I'm just ignoring it, but get hyped up if you want, make yourself look stupid, I'm not responsible for talking sense into you.

If US dollars are 'fake' as you say, then why would China, Japan, and the oil producing countries accept US dollars as payment for their goods? The only reason why USA can pay its way in the world with US dollars is because US dollars are real promises from the US government and not fake. And to keep those promises real, the US government has no choice but to borrow US dollars from whoever would lend instead of just print more money.

Do Bush and McCain not realize that business people are in business to make money or are they selling out ?
Do Bush and McCain not realize that business people are in business to make money or are they selling out ?
Does the average American citizen not ask themselves why so many of our countries manufacturers have moved their plants to other countries? The answer is simple. Under the current tax plan, which McCain intends to continue, corporations cannot stay competitive unless they move to these third world countries. It is actually cheaper for them to manufacture their goods overseas and have them shipped all the across the world to the USA, because, the Bush administration, being the kind, compassionate people that they are seems to think that we are helping these world countries out by providing jobs for them, so in order to encourage corporations to manufacture in them, to help these countries out, they get huge tax breaks. Now, the business world is competitive, as you know, so these corporations need to be able to keep their prices around the same as their competitors. They want to make profit. Now, what's wrong with that? It’s really common sense, if the USA looses all of its industry, then we will have nothing to export. So, that means we will have no bargaining chip, that means these other countries will not need us, we will need them. We will have to depend upon them to ship goods in to our country from theirs. This means our deficit and our debt are going to keep going up. We will owe them, and we will have nothing to offer them. We will have nothing they need, because they will have everything that was ours to begin with in their country. Globalism, a one world economy, it’s the USA's responsibility to ensure that people from all countries have the same opportunities as Americans do. OK, well, if we do that, then there will be one world economy, and there will be 2 classes in the world, haves, and have nots. Just like over in Iraq, India, China. Is that really what we want the USA to become? To those of you who ask how taxing businesses out is going to help our economy, the answer is simple, by giving businesses who choose to stay in the USA to manufacture tax breaks rather than giving tax breaks to those who choose to go to China to manufacture. To left wing Koolaide, yeah, I think that with the cost of fuel now a days it is ridiculous for it to still be cheaper with the tax breaks companies are receiving for them to be profiting still by shipping their goods overseas to be manufactured, half way around the world. Companies can't afford to loose Americans business. There's to many of us, so, if their hand is forced, they'll manufacture here.

You think US Tax Breaks will be enough to keep companies home when they can produce their products and services for a tenth of the cost that it takes here in the US? Sadly mistaken. The answer isn't through tax breaks, Congress and the next President have to throw the whole thing out and start over again. Obama's "5 percent" tax plan is NOT the answer.

$0.00 As an American Citizen, you are legally obligated to report "ALL" money you earn inside and outside the United States. And thus pay taxes on it, regardless if you bring that money back into the US. For example, if you fly to London and sell somebody a pair of Jeans for $50.00, you owe taxes on that $50.00. Even if you take that money and deposit into a bank in London and leave it in that account, that money still needs to be reported on your 1040 form. And to make the matter worse, the IRS is now requiring that all citizens with foreign bank accounts report the fact they have a foreign bank account and how much money is in it. Check it out - The TD F 90-22.1 Form -- http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f90221.pdf I know, it sux. The IRS blows when it comes to milking us citizens of our money.

Me and a couple of my friends have started an organization to help raise money for orphanages in china.?
I was just wondering how i could get the money directly to the orphanage. Also, if i send it through the mail, will the government steal it? How can i make sure it gets there safely? This is a very serious question and please give me a serious answer. This means a lot to me and the orphans in China. Thank you. There are over 15 million orphans in china due to their 1 child per family law. i think it would be nice to help them if their government won't do anything about it.

Why don't you help the children in your own country?
2 :
I agree, send it to USA orphanages.
3 :
You can't. This is one of the things you should have thought of before you started. We help China enough. They are now a richer country than we are. Charity begins at home. Find an agency you like in your neighborhood. I commend you and your friends for wanting to help people who are worse off than you are.

I would discuss with the orphanage their financial situation. They may should have a bank that you can transfer the funds to or a payment service that you can send the funds to them. I would not send through the mail as that is unsafe within the states, going outside of the states could be worse.
5 :
send a bank transfer
6 :
do you have a friend that's going to be going to china? you can always give it to missionaries that go there. I'm sure the government wouldn't take it. My parents send money back to China, and our relatives still receieve the money
7 :
There are actually about 300,000 orphans in China, NOT 15 million. (I have no idea where you got that number. There aren't even 15million orphans in the whole world combined.) Also, they are mostly orphaned because in the Chinese culture, the families value boys over girls. This is why there are SO many girls for adoption there and it's difficult to find a baby boy to adopt. Very few are up for adoption due to the "one per family" law. Please do a bit more research before you start fundraising. I would hate to see that you're spreading untrue facts. But that said, good for you trying to do something worthwhile. Ignore the others who say to give in your own country and not outside. Someone has to help them, right? So I'm glad to see you trying to do something. I wouldn't send the money through the mail. I seriously doubt the gov't will take it, but still, it's not a safe way to send money. Instead, try a wire transfer or bank transfer. I assume you have a contact in one particular orphanage - this is one it sounds like. So get their bank info from them and do it that way. If you don't have a contact, find an organization that raises money for the orphans and donate through them. Sending money directly to an orphanage has its own set of problems - many are corrupt and the people who run the orphanage keep the money for themselves instead of using it for the kids. Good luck!

you could send a check, that would make it harder for some random person to steal.

Why are we paying people from china to do our manufacturing jobs instead of using our Mexican neighbors?
In my opinion I think were just making china stronger and more powerful because the money they make stays there. If our neighbors from Mexico do the work than it would be cheap labor and most likely work its way back to the U.S. economy. What do you think? Greg N i guess you have a valid point but lets be fair here. How many times have products been called back for lead poisoning? I think the Chinese must be able to be more efficient in creating an acceptable product than Mexico is in many cases. It's economics. If John wants to purchase a printer, and he's looking at two different printers that are similar but one costs less, he buys the one that costs less. If that printer happens to be made in China, and the other one is made in Mexico, then this means that Mexico needs to figure out how to make the same quality printer at a lower cost so it may be offered at a lower price. I would like to see Mexico do better also. There would be numerous benefits to that. China may appear strong and powerful, and in many ways they are, but China still has critical problems. The majority of China is still rural, and it's only a small portion of China that enjoys the benefits of free market values. There are benefits to having China as a major trade partner as well. Not only does it help support positive relations between the two countries which causes China to be an ally in some cases, but it also makes China somewhat dependent on us. When our recession began to hit, China suffered as well because we were buying less goods in general, which means we were buying less from China.

It's a combination of factors. Cheap labor, the blue collar chinese get paid less. $6,000 gdp for China and $14,200 gdp for Mexico. https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/CH.html https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/MX.html China also has a much larger population from which they can draw workers. Migrant workers from central China travel to the coastal areas to obtain jobs. Infrastructure - China has developed efficient factories, roadways and ports to deliver products. Education and technology - China produces a broad range of products from textiles, consumer products, as well as space launch vehicles and satellites. Their culture has a strong value in education which assists in increasing efficiency within their manufacturing base. I don't believe Mexico can compete. China has both cheap labor and high tech factories. It is not only China. Many asian countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, Phillipines have increased their manufacturing base due to a global economy. You are right that somehow providing more jobs to Mexico would provide a return to the US. Based on the CIA factbook, Mexico has the following percentage of imports. US 49.6%, China 10.5%, Japan 5.8%, South Korea 4.5% (2007 The global economy is dictated by what consumers wish to buy. US consumers like you and I have made decisions based on our pocketbook. Do you want to spend $40 dollars on a pair of shoes made in China or do you want to spend $60 for the same quality of shoes made elsewhere? I think it is inevitable that the manufacturing base is leaving the US due to the much lower wages around the world. Some manufacturing jobs are left Taiwan to go to China while others are leaving China to go to cheaper places like Vietnam. These lower prices for consumer goods are good for the US consumer. The key is for Americans to keep up their wages while enjoying lower priced consumer goods. In regards to China getting stronger, it is just a matter of time. If you know eastern history, China has historically been a major regional power and with their cultural focus on education and strong work ethic, they will be again. They are already a nuclear power, have a space program and are the 2nd or 3rd largest economy in the world. I don't think we have to worry about conflicts with them too much. The two countries are too tied together in trade. The benefits to the development of China will be the new technologies - electronic and biomedical - that will come. Historically, China invented paper, the compass, gunpowder...Think about all the innovations that Japan has brought about. I think that the development of China and India will assist in the further advancement of civilization.

Because we are exploitative hipocrites. China is communist and we know that those people are making peanuts. Yet we still trade with them because it is CHEAP. We help the Chinese to uphold their communist government and cheap labor. Now, personally I don't have a problem with communism as a form of government if they aren't hurting the people. But it is hypocritical because for 50 years we have had an embargo on CUBA because it is communist and up to this year refused to have anything to do with them. So why is it okay to do business with China and not with Cuba? This mentality of business only looking at the bottom line (choosing China regardless of their politics but because they have the cheapest labor/products) is the same mentality for why we have illegal immigrants hired by American businesses in the USA. They don't care if they are breaking the law they just want the cheapest worker so that they can make the most money. I think businesses should do business in Mexico (and some do) even if it does cost more. Now Mexico is a mess with the drug cartels, but had we bought more from Mexico, even if it costed more, rather than China, we might not have 20 million illegal immigrants from Mexico living here in the US. Many of them might have had a better job in Mexico because of increased exports to the USA and some American factories or joint Mexican/American factories in Mexico.

So where does China get the money from to buy American Bonds?
I thought China had smoggy air and no human rights, how can they afford to pay us money if their people only make like $5 a day??? wow, you're pretty good.

Sweetie, China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world! They have a population of more than a billion people and they have a very well conected network throughout the world. If you count in the revenue from the Olympic Games, you can surely see that China is one of the wealthiest and fastest growing economies. It is not about how much the people make. It is how much the government make. They have a very good work ethic as far as I understand. Hugs :-)
2 :
Because the $ goes to their leaders, not the people. The largest importer of Chinese goods is Wal-mart, and every time you buy something there, the money goes to China. The people who made those goods don't ever see a dime of it.

Wal Mart.

Thanks to the Wall Mart bashers that answered, they just reminded me to pick up some OIL from Wally World after work.
5 :
I believe you don't know China much. Why do you think China had smoggy air? As I know, the Chinese government is concentrated on economic development and making great progress in exporting, so they have much dollars. Many people make like $5 a day as their salaries, that's true, but the products they made could worth $50, even $500. If you want to know more about China, I know some cheap DVDs. http://c2c-china.com/chinese-culture-c-21.html

In America, why is it rude to ask someone how much money they make?
In America, why is it rude to ask someone how much money they make?
In many countries, it's not considered rude at all and in some, like China, it's perfectly natural. Some would say, it's none of my business, but why is that? It's not like I can do anything to benefit myself at your expense if I know how much money you make. If we routinely asked people in America how much money they made do you think that would help women get equal pay? Does keeping this a taboo subject benefit the average worker or the average executive?

Without an official class system, we use money as a gauge of worth. When you ask people how much money they make its like asking them how much they are worth and that's uncomfortable. After all in the greater scheme of things a nurse doesn't make all that much, next to say a CEO, but she does more good. But by asking how much she makes, shes aware that her socially perceived worth is much less. Its uncomfortable, and etiquette is all about making people feel comfortable
2 :
That's what I wonder too, why is it? I'm not sure but 'It's like asking how old a lady is or something. Crushing their pride if we ask I guess.
3 :
In America, asking someone how much money they make is seen as a blatant attempt to try to class a person by how much they make, instead of taking someone on their own merits. Telling someone how much you make can only lead to two comments, "Wow!" (as in, "THAT much?!", which is insulting) or "Oh, wow . . ." (that LITTLE? gee, what a loser.) Neither of which contributes to the conversation. :-)
4 :
You might have a point that it could help equal things out if people talked about it more. But talking about it isn't the biggest problem - you're talking about people ASKING each other. It's what you call a personal question - it's one of those areas where people don't demand info. But the problem with it is that it lends itself too easily to society getting in the habit of judging people by what they earn. We have enough of that when we just have vague ideas. It elevates wealth to having too much influence over who is "good enough" to be friends with.
5 :
I'll assume you live in China. It can be rude depending on who you ask and 'how' you ask the question. I may answer the question to some people and not others without any bad feelings either way. My response to someone I do not know well enough would probably be "why would you like to know?" Maybe the question is being asked in a less than private location. I wouldn't want to discuss the matter on a subway train, crowded bus or in a McDonald's, for example. It is also not polite to ask sheep-herders and other agricultural oriented economy cultures in various countries about how many sheep/cows, acres of land do you own for the same reasons stated by other responders. It may be related to personal 'worth' and privacy issues. Also interpreted as 'ego' in some ways, I suppose. Perhaps some Americans find it rude because they are embarrassed by their incomes (being disproportionately inflated or inadequate for their lifestyle or desired lifestyle). For example, if I worked as a barrista because it was the only job i could find and I had 4 children to support, but I had a Baccalaureate degree in accounting but the working market is glutted and not enough jobs available, i would possibly feel badly about this. That is a self-esteem issue. Healthy Self-image, self-esteem and Insecurity issues can play a large role in this topic as well. Perhaps THAT, more than anything else, explains why Americans are reluctant to discuss their incomes openly.

Well considering etiquette in general is not high on their agenda, its an anomaly. But then why is someones bottom called a fanny in the US.The list is endless. The real answer is Isolation-myopia-and delusional greatness=chaos in thought and action

Here's how we compete: When your $22.77 computer lands in the USA, we slap a nice big TARIFF on it.

He's selling knock-offs. It's illegal. You can go to prison. You can have your inventory confiscated. You can be sued by the companies whose products you are ripping off. Bad career move.

Do not deal with this guy. Selling copies is illegal. You can get yourself into some serious legal trouble selling copies.

Most of the worlds pollution comes from China and India. We need to care simply because it effects all of us. Google to leave China on April 10. Best ways to make money from this? Invest in Baidu?
Google's impending departure from China will create new business and investment opportunities. Beside the obvious choice of investing in Baidu, what other money making possibilities are there? http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/03/19/google-shut-china-search-april/?test=latestnews

Baidu will virtually be a monopoly so you should invest with them until you notice a competitor coming along. Keep your eye open for a new internet search engine which should pop up soon...possibly another Chinese run company.
2 :
Everyone expected this. That is why Baidu has been run up almost 50% in the past few months. That was the time to buy (on or before Jan. 12). Now is the time to sell Baidu.
3 :
Come on! It's Fox News. Did you read any more than the headline? "the information has not been confirmed" Did you miss that? The story is being spread by an advertiser ("an unidentified Chinese advertising agency" who is worried about his advertising revenue. "The report did not specify whether Google would close all or part of its operations in the country." www.google.cn may close but www.google.com will probably remain open and relatively uncensored as it always has been. This is a story about nothing like most of Fox's churnalism. Google will not leave China.
4 :
if i were Google i would invest in Yahoo... look how wise was "China invested in the USA"... it's a game with no loss... Yahoo grows -- their investments grow too... Yahoo fails -- here they are, with their own branches... feed your enemies -- this keeps them from eating you...
5 :
Only day traders have the wherewithal to make investments based on frivolous news stories, and you have to move fast to make any profits. For the long haul, invest in real estate. At least, by doing so, you'd have something tangible in the end, even if the market collapses.
6 :
I have no idea why "google is leaving" China. It sounds like a disrupt between the Chinese government and google. China often imposes unfavourable demands foreign business operating in China. Google may simply had enough of it.
7 :
Set up a bet to bet on Google's % pull out, the house is going to be the big winner.

Listen, most of the products are either already available in Chinatowns or on eBay, I wouldn't count too much on finding your fortunes here, plus, however biased it may be to blame an entire country for it, "Made in China" products doesn't exactly have such a great reputation. But then, cultural icons of Chinese heritage is a big earner, useful gizmos like fans, or display items like porcelain products are slowly gaining momentum as more people get to know China's culture. Are you going to sell from a website of a stall?

Thats just it. If you can get the traffic, you can make a lot of money. Bloging takes a lot of time too. Any site that asks for money, OR you don't understand how the money is made, OR its too good to be true (get rich fast scheme) run! Surveys are hard, not a lot of them out there that you can qualify for, plus they take time. Usually like 30 minutes for $3. Did it, doesn't pay. What I do and its totally free. Forever. I'm off with a broken hand, so it HAS to be free. If you want contact me and I will send you the website. The video explains it all. You will be able to tell if its for you. And it works all over the world, yes, even China. Good luck.

There are many online offers on Internet but most of them are scam! Before you join any work from home company, please check out the sites below. Bringing traffic in fast costs money. The best way to get traffic is to be listed on the first page of a search engine - like Yahoo, Google, etc... Free online ads are time consuming and not very productive. Selling a product is probably faster than what you are doing. Consider this - you are in china - you have an opportunity greater than this site - help people in the US find good "made in china" products to sell on ebay. You get the finders fee for the hook up. You can work at home but you need to find your own way. Following others just makes others money. Leading - that's where the money is. Everyone loves a Leader!

Everyone loves a Leader!

not really as much as NBA! if ur planning on doing that don't. finish college and see if you get drafted into the NBA u never know. be confident. and if nothing then look into it. but i am not sure about the money.
2 :
No not really, make more though than if got a "normal" 8 to 5 job working M-F. Most probably average around 100-300K. They can't make NBA teams and can go over there and make a decent living for what they love doing and wouldn't get paid to do here in the USA.
3 :
Yes, you do make more money if you go to Europe. The NBA a few years ago to pretty recently were worrying about this. There have been a few players who have left for Europe, Josh Childress, Carlos Delfino and Earl Boykins to name a few more well-known ones. The Exchange rate of Dollars to Euros is what brings people there I assume, and of course the new surrounding. According to an article on ESPN european stars can get paid around $50 million a year! Childress, who I mentioned earlier signed with a Greece team for $20 million a year. Now in the NBA you have to be a MJ Prodigy to make that kind of amount! Aded a few articles and a question to help you out.
4 :
its just like the USA the better you are the more money you are paid now if you want to come back to america with that money its not worth because even though the dollar is higher over there to actually get the money to the USA costs money so you really wouldnt be getting much in return

How a 16 year old can make a lot of money through the internet?
So this kid who goes to my school was standing near me and he pulls out this huge wad of cash. I don't know him, and frankly I'm a little scared of him because he is one of the bad kids in my school. But I overheard him saying he got it from some guy in China that he didn't know. Through money order or something like that (I think.) I'm guessing he did this using the internet, but I dont know what he could have done. Does anyone have any ideas?! What is fraud? O_o

$500 US is about 3500CNY. That leaves you 2500CNY to eat. So assuming you don't do anything but work, and you walk to and from work, that's about 80CNY per day for food. That's feasible, even if you eat out one meal a day. If you stay away from Western foodstuff, eat local vegetables and fruits, rice, noodles, tofu and soy, little or no meat and dairy products, cook at home and bring your lunch box, then you will be fine, and a little thinner in no time. We tend to eat too much anyways. Have you heard about the virtues of a restricted calorific diet? Not a bad deal afterall.
2 :
Do not fret about food; no need to be concerned cost.......great food; low price even in a nice restaurant....believe me!
3 :
you can eat seafood cheap as hell in china, while in america, they charge an arm & leg just for a lobster tail.
4 :
100 USD should cover the food part.

Yes - you make money (not printing it- but earning it) in china, you go to china bank and open bank account - and you send money to your bank in USA. (Bank Transfer - not western union)
2 :
Yes, however there is an exchange rate. Right now 100 Chinese Yuan equals 14.6481 American Dollars. This rate changes daily. To exchange the money, go to an American bank with a branch in your Chinese city and ask for the international exchange department. They will gladly exchange it for you. Be advised that many banks charge a commission for exchanging the money. Another way to do this is to take the Yuan and open a checking account in the Chinese branch of an American bank. Then when you come to the U. S., you can go to another branch of that same bank and write checks against the money you deposited in China. You may have more money or less money than you deposited in China because of the exchange rate.

In China for my girlfriend, did I make a mistake?
In China for my girlfriend, did I make a mistake?
I love my girlfriend very much, I left my stable job and left college to come be with her while she prepares to come back to the States with me. This is for one year. I've been to China several times and even lived there for a short while so its not like it's the culture shock getting to me. She has been very moody, and sometimes just mean to me. I'm not the kind of guy to whine and complain about something, but I've mentioned to her that I don't appreciate the way she has been treating me and she will say sorry and be sweet but the next day she may get pissed about something else. It's not her ''time of the month'' or anything like that. I don't know what else I should do. I feel like I gave a lot to come here. I decided to not leave for the military, I left college, I left my job (in this bad economy). Now I'm working in China and making less money, around a language I don't know very well, away from everything I know. I don't mind doing these things for her, I just wish she wasn't being so moody with me these last couple of weeks. Any suggestions?

lol...someone finally noticed what I noticed in elementary school. I was born in China. And was raised to think girls would be shy, quiet, etc. you name it. Then in the elementary school, I noticed that most girls are MORE bossy than boys. That's the way it is today. Since everyone would be on the side of the girl as soon as she start crying...whether she is right or wrong. As boys, we were taught not to argue with girls, not to hit girls, and do things for girls...like fools lol. I am glad you learned about modern China. Many other foreigners still say that Asian women are submissive..yeah right! Suggestions? You might want sit down and talk with her, and settle this once for all. If she still won't change, I suggest you move on. There are always sweeter girls who will treat their men with respect.

French is the largest second language in China.
4 :
LIAM.... Yea That is why you see all those signs in FRENCH! Last I looked (and that was 5 min ago) The signs are in Chinese and ENGLISH. China 's Second Language http://www.meridianmagazine.com/ideas/090325china2.html English has become the de facto second language of China . Most street signs in major cities and the directional signs on major highways are in both Chinese and English. This would be the equivalent of seeing all the signage along I-80 or the M-5 appear in English with Chinese subtitles.
5 :
only those who need to contact people from other countries are learning english. they learn for business, but, some might for knowing more things about the world. like answer all the silly questions on yahoo answers from all the countries.
6 :
Deviation from the true story of Communism, Chairman Mao will slaughter all of you Chinese today. We should work very hard for the Party, for the country, not for money. English is good only for spread word of Chairman Mao to English people, not use with Chinese people.
7 :
English is the closest thing the world currently has to an international language. English is commonly used in business, educational, and cultural settings on every continent. Learning a second language is a good thing that is never "over-rated". Since when is earning a living "over-rated"? Everything in the world costs money. Do you want a house to live in? That costs money. Do you want something to eat every day? That costs money. Do you want to go to college or send your kids there? That cost money. Do you want medical treatment? That costs money. The only people who make idle comments against honest work are losers and sponges (who live off of their parents, spouses, welfare, etc.)
8 :
Any and all knowledge is good for the person who puts forth the effort. As for making money, it should never be more important than the health of the children. But when you think about it money should not be more important than the health of the people or the land.

Personally, I think trade is the single most effective way to democratize a nation. Far more effective than an invasion, for instance. However, I also believe that because capitalism necessitates that there will be some losers, a basic social safety net is a wonderful idea. It frees people to take entrepreneurial risk (because if the venture fails, at least your family won't starve), and it helps produce a class of capable, educated workers. Plus, I believe it's always wrong to let a child starve. So, I'm all for trade, and I believe it will increase the freedoms of the nations we trade with (if done properly), but I'm no fanatic yelling "commie!" at the mere hint of helping others, so perhaps I'm not really the target audience for your question.

The trade the US has been doing with China has done more to take out communism than any war ever could. We are democratizing China. Liberalism and its tyranny on our US manufacturing put us out of business. We cannot compete.

I don't understand this inconsistency from the Bush administration either. There are a lot of conservatives bemoaning the fact that we are rushing our economic future into the hands of the RED Chinese. This will come back to bite us but as long as the Neo-cons (who aren't real conservatives to begin with) remain in power, the warnings are being ignored. The only real hope is that the communists in Beijing lose a grip on their increasingly wealthy population before they can bring down the US and establish their East Asian/Pacific hegemony.

communism was created by carl marx. It is the idea that everyone works for the better of the whole and no one is better or paid better than anyone else. example being that a school teacher would teach a shirt makers children in return for shirts, a carpenter would fix a plumbers wall in return for the plumbers services, ect. It is not evil or bad, and in fact a great idea. The problem is that it doesnt work because people are inherently greedy and power hungry and the powerful end up abusing their power, i.e. cuba, germany, ect. but the idea it is evil is just capitolist propaganda. NOT COUNTING the fact that being liberal has nothing to do with communism, it simply means everyone should have the right to live the way they want, not follow a set standard of hardcore neo-christian, 2.5 kids, married for 40 years, crap.

Ok first let me get to the core of your question... between capitalism and communism, which is inherently bad or good? Or maybe the difference? A. Capitalism, from a moral stance, is more evil... as it teaches ppl from birth that their entire worth evolves around 'self'. We see this everyday with our idolizing and rewarding the rich, most of whom inherited this wealth. The ppl who work just as hard all day long as janitors or store clerks are belittled. We reward the Donald Trumps, the Oprah Winfreys, the football stars, etc... If you live in a mobile home, you are considered trash. Communism evolves around community where you are valued by how much you put into your community and not by how much more you have than someone else. B. China/USA trade... I think you are asking if communism is considered so bad then why does the USA trade with them to the extent we do in order to make lots of money. - the answer is partially in part A of this answer... meaning there are no morals in a capitalist economy except to reward wealth no matter what means were used to obtain that wealth. - the other part of the answer to B is that the USA believes it is converting China to a free-market... the uneducated call this democracy because they don't understand that democracy has nothing to do with economic structures such as communist, capitalism, etc... There are many different forms of democracies. Simply put and to reiterate, China is finding that when you combine a free-market to a degree with communism, the result is the fastest growing economy in world history.

There are many different forms of democracies. Simply put and to reiterate, China is finding that when you combine a free-market to a degree with communism, the result is the fastest growing economy in world history.

separately will make you more money, but it may be a pain in the butt to have so many auctions. Edit: I thought about it and I have to qualify this. If it's a popular china pattern then sell them separately. If it's rare or less desirable, sell them as a set.
2 :
Sell them as a set. individual plates will only be purchased by people looking to complete a collection, so your customer base will be lower.
3 :
I would sell them all together. I don't know many people that buy just one plate. You buy all the them...so you have a set.
4 :
do you want any left or do you want to get rid of them all? They charge you for every auction so I would think you'd pay more to sell them one at a time and may have some left that way!
5 :
Sell them as a set in pairs or in a 4 pack. Most people don't want to just buy one single plate that looks different than the rest so you won't make any money that way. You could also sell it as a 4 pack is slightly cheaper than 2 pairs of plates so you get more people buying those but it also depends on how many plates you have. If you don't have very many that strategy might not work out as well but for sure don't sell them one at a time.

Why are Dems Sending More Money to China & Supporting High Medical Profits?
Why are Dems Sending More Money to China & Supporting High Medical Profits?
Dems are refusing to cut medicare payments and they're borrowing the money from China to do so. Why are Dems penalizing our kids by making them own China more and more and more money? Why do Dems take so much in contributions from medical organizations that are getting rich off of poor and suffering Americans?

Does PayPal outsource to China? How can I make them refund my money?
Does PayPal outsource to China? How can I make them refund my money?
I have a dispute (buyer) with a seller in China and it was supposed to have ended going on 2 weeks ago and PayPal has failed to contact me by the cut off date they set. Not only that but they keep playing dumb with all my emails: they ignore my emails, or they tell me this is the way to recover full access to my PayPal account (WTF?? It's in GOOD standing!) or they ask me the name and number of the dispute when it's right there on the console! (Last time I had a dispute with USA seller, they replied within 48 hrs, they didn't need such numbers since they have access to it themselves, and they issued a refund within less than 2 weeks) I have waited over 2 months for this resolution. What can I do? (Phoning is NOT an option, I can't dial LD right now!) So do they outsource to China? Is that the reason they giving me the run around? MY DISPUTE IS WITH PAYPAL!!!! MY DISPUTE STARTED OVER 2 MOS. AGO AND WAS SUPPOSED TO END 2 WEEKS AGO! IT IS WITH PAYPAL!!!

If you're talking to the seller and not getting anywhere, contact Paypal directly. Explain to Paypal the details and whoever else may be involved in whatever you were purchasing (ebay maybe?) and do it quickly. Let them know what the seller is telling you and they should work something out pretty quickly.
